There is also a mobile app and web reader - So you can read anytime even if you didn't bring your book or kindle, your phone will sync with the kindle so you can just pick up and keep going.

Pay 20 bucks or so, fill out a web page, and they'll grant you a "diagnosis". 

Ferguson had the part number on their web site, but they want to play the game of "apply for an account for us, and maybe we'll give you one, and then maybe we'll tell you what it costs and if it's in stock". 

They will care more about their reputation and not want anything on their records.Run the numbers. 

In the beginning you might only get 20% of the profit for organizing the purchase of the home, organizing the contractors, and running it through to the sale but you'll have your feet wet and you'll have built a reputation with your lender.
