If you just look at appreciation it's not any different from gambling.

I'll be sure to consult lawyers on both sides of the border when the times comes. 

Does your wife want you to play a game and gamble your money, or does she expect you to do your homework, learn the market, and invest in something that will bring maximum return with the smallest risk?  

The gamble is don't overpay at the auction.

One idea is to get border tile and run it along the top.The pictures look great!

I'm certainly not a fan of Cap & Trade, but what pisses me off much more than the bill is how the bill was pushed through congress -- complete and utter partisan politics, inappropriate last minute changes and additions, and flat-out egregious posturing bordering on fraud.
