They think of all types of arguments to try to prove my business sense is wrong.Here is an actual example shared with me that happened at the start of the Covid-19 crisis.

Obviously COVID-19 has changed things, but I know the Texas economy, in general, took a huge economic hit with the oil crash a couple of months ago.

Attached are copies of one of the resolutions and a chart illustrating that there is no "eviction crisis" in Pulaski County, where the eviction rate is less than half the normal rate as reflected from 2019.

Since then my town has had huge huge economic growth and the housing market is very high. 

Plus, rent control is a policy that hurts the people it is intended to support ( check out Milton Friedman for this Economic theory).

The moratorium on evictions and stimulus has not erased the crisis but deferred it down the line in my opinion.
