She can put it in her children's names (there are three of us), but we haven't taken the steps to do so just yet as we are unsure of how to do it in the best way.I am interested in the concept laid out in this post and am wondering if there is a way for me, as a new investor looking for my first property, to work out some deal that helps my mom's situation as well.

In effect, I’d be paying approximately 7% interest (annualized rate) for the $25K.Option 2 – Obtain a similar loan with a private investor (for only the $25K required for repair) and pay off in three years.Although I initially discounted option #1 (upfront costs seemed excessive and I didn’t like the concept of borrowing more than I actually needed), I’m now seriously considering this option… but with a twist.
