Imagine trying to someday sell the property.Old tenant George owns 5% of the propertyOld tenant Mary and Sam got divorced, Mary got 3% and George got 2% of the property ownership.Old tenant Sally passed away, her 3 heirs each got 1.5% of the property.So to sell the property, since now the landlord passed away, 6 past tenants/heirs must be tracked down to sign the sales contract.

But, if Uncle Sam came knocking, I think it'd be pretty hard for them to say I'm not doing real estate activities with the various time I spend as an active agent.Good luck.
