I know there are HOA fees associated, but am I missing the fun on Condo's or something?

For some reason the gal at the management company added a note to the questionnaire stating "There are currently no delinquencies on monthly HOA fees however the impending layoffs could create future problems.

Are the holding costs calculated for you in this calculator (adding in your insurance, initial mortgage, HOA, utilities, etc.), or should I be adding them into the renovation costs?

First rule of dealing with an HOA... you don’t buy a property with an HOA!!  

I am buying my 3/3 with one car garage, Pool and low HOA, Dream Townhome in the Location I picked out for my move 4 months ago for All Cash.

@Dave Perlman definitely look into the neighborhood and make sure the HOA or some other governing entity doesn't have any rules or regulations regarding AirBnB's.

I'd be looking at about $150k for the condo and I think about $500-700 a month for HOA fees.

If it is in an HOA they could have restrictions on rentals.
