I'd also be keen to find out peoples opinions on whether Houston has enough diversification in the job market or if it's too dependent on the oil industry and if that gets replaced/winds down in 25-60 years (a debatable point I know) would the housing market still stand up or would you get another Detroit-like scenario where the demise of the car industry destroyed house prices?

If it's hot water, you need to say whether you have baseboard or standing radiators. radiators need the air bled to allow water to move, baseboard often doesn't have bleeds and the line needs the air flushed out by opening the drains at the boiler.

(@Chris Purcell the minimum head heights are 80" (6'-8"), but mind you that is from the standing point at the toilet) Currently the trend is for open space, but we are quickly finding that no storage results in a lot of clutter.
