It would be a great place for you to find a possible internship, and at the very least pointers on how to set yourself up for a successful investing career. 

Aside from my day job, I'm interested in getting started in real estate investing - my current thought is to find a good market and 'househack' a duplex/triplex/quad as my first investment (and slowly build upon my portfolio of Buy&Hold properties while I work).I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on where you would start your real estate careers - what markets and why?

Save all that money you spend on LLCing yourself and hire a good attorney for the one lawsuit you might face in your investment career.

Bear in mind that while the first LLC in the USA came about in 1977, comprehensive tax law regarding them didn't really come about until 1996 (thanks Wikipedia).I began my tax career in 1997 (although I'd been an accountant since 1988), so it was a crash course in a brand new entity and was part of my on the job training.
