My husband didn't seem troubled by any of it.Our first 'no heat' situation caused us both to lose sleep, mostly b/c the tenant didn't bother to notify us for 2 days, she thought the others in the building had or would call and she was almost out of minutes on her phone, so instead of calling Friday afternoon she e mailed Sunday night.Currently, I am stressed about an upcoming vacancies- bunched of people have looked at one place since Monday but so far only one application and I'll have to reject them based on money owed to a past landlord.

I also carry a Benchmade folding knife with a 3 1/2" blade and yes, as someone mentioned - the cellphone and a good flashlight are very much a necessity.I also have had martial arts training - which I sincerely recommend to every land lord even if you have an aversion to guns.As to why the Glock - I actually settled on the Glock 30 after having an e-mail conversation with Massad Ayoob (you can google his name).

Cost seems pretty reasonable, check on e-bay, 700-800 for 1500/1800 btu for heat and air.
