Going to newer homes in better locations and letting someone else deal with an aging asset is a much better plan, especially as you reset your tax depreciation and learn to do cost segregation!

I recently considered a service that basically does what you mention specifically as "corporate housing" with companies, but never went further into it as I ended up renting the unit out to some normal folks.

I don't recall mentioning that I would engage in short sale fraud :) Short sales usually go thru best offer situation and they are posted on MLS anyway.
