I file my rentals on my federal & state returns but Ohio requires that you file an Ohio state return if you profit a certain amount (I want to say $3500/yr of the top of my head but don't quote me, I would need to go look to be sure).

I've researched the topic and it seems very difficult to evict tenants in this situation in the state of NJ.Any suggestions on how to attack this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks for your time,JohnThe requirement to live in the property within 30-45 days might pose a problem since there are federal & state protections in place for tenants of foreclosed properties.

i mean, granted the credit bureau isn't technically a 'government agency' but then again neither is the employer that obviously has their SS# on their paycheck which applicant blotted out.and besides, every sane person knows credit bureaus already have most everyone's SS# on file.. don't they??

If there is an HOA governing the units you are looking at, make sure they don't have any restrictions or quotas on the number of rental units.
