Hello, I live in California Sacramento, recently bought a primary house which I plan to do house hacking.

I’d like to find a place to house-hack/live-in burrrr, but I know nothing about Jacksonville.

Finally closed on my house in Jacksonville, Fl.I ended up giving Power of Attorney to my brother and having him sign for me.I would advise others to have their POA setup prior to leaving the US as I had to go to the US Embassy in Bangkok to have the POA papers notarized.  

@Matthew Perez @Mason Weiss Hey Angelica, insurance companies will look for temporary housing depending on a housing claim that they are working through.

It is not that you are not taxed on the inherited house, it is that you receive the house at today's value.

You won't find multifamily properties and the houses are generally smaller (which is great for lower maintenance cost).  

In recent years, we've often heard predictions about a housing market crash.

If I buy a house hack that needs work that is projected to take 8-9 months and can't reside in the house until it is completed or can only be there between jobs can I still claim it as a primary residence?
