I chose this market based on a lot of research, but you should find a market that aligns with your goals.

As you probably know, how much time, experience or capital you have are key indicators of where you might fit in a partnership.I would add how you view acceptable risk, what your passion/purpose is and even your location for investment as close seconds to defining where you align in a deal as well.

I guess the purpose of brokerage is not aligned with the purpose of brokerage in general.

I have been in that boat and completely align with the feeling you get when you get to take care of the people that raised you so well.

Also, one of the most often overlooked components of a syndication is the reporting.

Its a business for sure but there certainly is a moralistic component that I wouldn't ignore.
