-My wife and I were each involved in an auto accident in the last 3 years so we are unable to qualify for an umbrella insurance police.Question:How can I best protect myself from lawsuits?

Since they are all under my personal name currently so lawyers will be able to find them easily if there is any lawsuit against me.So what is the best way to minimize the exposure of my assets to the potential liabilities?

Long ago and far away when I was a newbie investor, I used a Quit Claim deed to transfer and it ended up in a law suit.

I also had a bulletproof assignment of contract agreement so the lawsuit never got off the ground.

If they did indeed fail to respond to orders transferring money out, then part of that punishment will also come from a flurry of lawsuits. 

There are groups of landlords in various places getting together and protesting, even some lawsuits.

It has a mother-in-law suite which we thought would be a good selling point.

I like the idea I may have additional protection from lawsuits.

Any sort of shortcuts are going to open you up to a lawsuit.

I have to provide all of my ledgers, contracts, and tenant screening.Just ask if those items have been collected.Additionally they do offer guarantees, so look into those.Finally, if someone is forging ledgers, that is fraud and they are opening themselves up to a lawsuit.
