The follow up I am waiting to hear is "Here is my document showing my cat is a Certified Emotional Support Animal"  (that they just spent $25) . 

We share a kitchen, bathrooms etc so people would be in constant contact with this animal.

(I consider investments a different animal, once money moves from cash accounts to investments they are tracked elsewhere, such as Personal Capital which is automatic, or a Net Funds spreadsheet that I have built and update monthly, but YNAB even supports my investments by helping me apportion those cash that is to be invested).

Meanwhile, they ( I am assuming here, not familiar with Cali laws) still do not clearly and simply define and regulate pets vs. non pets to eliminate actual confusion and abuse by those not actually qualified to have any kind of Assistance Animal.

Whenever it does come it will be a completely different animal than last time. 

I know where I am it is extremely difficult to get paint covered with a SD unless tenant abuse/neglect caused the need for the paint, you can't just use the SD to put a fresh coat of paint on the walls.
