In my humble opinion- @Josh Collins  you definitely made the correct decision!  

(And, I'm humbled that you can your marketing in two languages!).  

All I can tell you is that although it's extremely frustrating dealing with building departments and permitting there's no getting around them, even though it feels like dealing with the gestapo a times.As difficult as it may be, your best bet in dealing with them is to be friendly and humble, and leave out the "this isn't a free country" part.

And basically repeat process and quit my current jobI do have carpentry skills but even more so the mindset to be open and humble to learn new things.

How short sighted some of these agents and brokers can be, in my humble opinion.

Unfortunately if you don't have a background in either or both of these fields wholesaling will be VERY challenging to say the least......and this in my humble view is the main reason why most people either fail or give up.
