Freddie Mac recently announced guideline changes that will greatly affect residential real estate investors.Beginning August 1st, 2008 the following changes will go into effect:A borrower may not have more than four financed 1-4 unit properties, including the subject property.

Thanks to the biggerpo blogger who announced that Freddie Mac will cap the number of mortgages at three plus the property applied for.

also, Freddie Mac has lower number of existing mortgages to 3 plus the one you're financing.

In this day and time you're really happy that you've got a track record and a relationship with such an institution because the financing for investors can shut down rapidly--for example, the new requirement under Freddie Mac that you can only have 3 mortgaged properties plus the one you're finanacing.
