The landlord and USPS are telling me two different things, and I'm just in the middle. 

I know your maintenance costs and CapEx will likely be less with a new build property but you should be prepared just in case you have a hot water heater go out or something else unexpected go wrong.

It's the same money, just in a different location.Since all equity that is built with appreciation would be the same for anyone that owned that property, all equity would grow equally.

I checked to see if there was any other home which sold for $192,000, just in case I might have missed a transfer involving an entity that I did not recognize as a Rad affiliate and there are none.

I saw in another post that he could open up a HELOC as a backup, or for unforeseen expenses just in case, but we’re really struggling with what to do here and don’t want this project to negatively impact our relationship in any way.
