Any regular dust that's in there that is friable enough to move around is going to be blown out of the vents every time the forced air comes on, become airborne, and then either settle on the furniture or be trapped in your system's filters.

And, depending on how cold winters get where the properties are, you may have to spend extra on thick insulation so that you’re not paying a fortune for electricity by trying to keep a “hot tee cup” (water heater) hot when it’s sitting outdoors in below freezing weather. 

I still do carpentry work for friends and family and make concrete countertops and furniture in my spare time.  

I have wifi thermostats, wifi water heater, outdoor security cameras, but still use a lock box.

Update 3: The next door neighbor of my property called one of my friends last night (while we were friendly to each other, I didn't bother to give the neighbor my contact info -- my bad and learned) to let him know my rental property's garage door was wild open, some food and furniture inside and a "free to take" sign outside.

Finally, another comment you made somewhere about places one would love to live in if they could, and you mentioned Whidbey Island and other smaller places in WA which get fewer rainfall than Seattle and still offer outdoor activities, etc.

One key thing we leave is furniture pads to protect the wood floor, a few picture hangers, a plunger, dish soap , TP, dishwasher soap, hand soap.

The property is vacant but I found out that the owner of the house deceased last year and the house of is full of their belongings including furniture.

It typically takes about 6 months to recoup furniture costs and then you start reaping the profits.

So I want to build a dog pen with a shade, 6 ft in height maybe 8x8, that dog and future dogs can get some outdoor time as dog owners can't always go for walks.
