We would be doing as much of the work ourselves to keep costs down but is it worth trying to balance two very demanding endeavors (construction company and flipping) for that profit?

And to get those 2 units built in Austin can be an endeavor as the city permitting process is historically and aggravatingly slow. 

Jack O is 100% on-point with everything. you need to offload this one asap. take a (small) loss on it and reflect on what went wrong. good educational moment for your future RE endeavors. 

Meaning you can shift your mindset from having to kill it to keep you and yours alive to applying your interest and talents to other endeavors that may be more satisfying and useful to society but perhaps don't pay as well.
