I'm not an electrician but with today's demand for electricity to run computers, TVs, appliances, I don't if knob and tube can handle the load of a modern lifestyle.

What do you guys think about investing in mobile homes as start?

Could potentially put a mobile home or short term housing on the vacant parcel. 

I'm trying to find private REI clubs that pool capital together for better purchasing power/due diligence efforts/etc. to invest passively in RE syndications (multi-family, development, mobile home, self-storage, etc.). 

When you leave, you're going to want purty-purty modern-modern stylish floors to appeal to buyers.

Here's a quick one I'm hoping someone would be able to shed some light or experience on - I have heard from some people that it is a great idea to fit out an apartment with nice and modern furniture, maintain it well and rent it out for a couple of thousand Rand more than a similar empty unit.

What is a mobile home park supposed to be zoned as?

If its near the gulf coast (Mobile, Foley, etc), either get an HVAC or minisplits in the property.

I found a great deal in Victorville, California for a mobile home park for 11,000.
