I am a full time Air Force Reservist (Not moving anytime soon) with a background in program management.

Depends on if you've used your VA benefit in the past, your reserve situation, credit  and if you don't plan to use the VA loan in the near future to purchase a home, it could make sense.FYI- There are  non- VA 95% LTV loan programs without PMI

You could pay for some very costly mistakes or you can invest in your education and possibly shortcut the learning curve by learning from others.But of course, try to get more educated in books and forums with RE investing then wholesaling in general before jumping into any programs.

@Nickolas Zornek if you have good credit I would check out HomePossible or HomeReady programs before deciding on FHA

It took about 8 years, but I got it figured out.4 years ago program requirements at Sec. 8 forced us out of the program.
