I've known since I was 19 that real estate is how I wanted to retire. 

I am not sure how to go about building a team, and I have heard of Rent to Retirement on BiggerPockets podcast.

I'm a retired Army Veteran who is new to San Antonio and looking to gain some real estate experience.

I have focused on saving for my retirement through my 401k for my first few years of work after college.

I'm lucky where I currently live in that we have FIVE nearby Army and AF installations that facilitate the need for renters in addition to those that find Colorado a place to call upon retirement. 

Don't worry about me as a competitor, at best I might be able to purchase one property a year, we are thinking about this as a retirement investment.Thanks for the idea of Westland and Livonia schools.

Proceed with caution when putting your personal home at risk (i.e. low LTV in case you have to sell your home, other sources of liquidity/retirement plans, high demand W-2 skills in all market conditions, etc.).

As a matter of fact we've seen many investors over the years move out of low performing equities, retirement accounts, saving accounts etc. 

On the other side of the complex we got older retired people who hate going on line for anything.

Again there is a risk for them and they are probably at the point in their life where they are saving for retirement.
