The question he had is that he is taking a world trip for some months and wanted to know if he should  buy a cheap condo in a city of Florida that he never been to, so he would not have to pay storage on his furnishingsI am not a rich person but I cant believe anyone who is would even entertain that thought.Basic common sense and the need to create wealth not destroy it I would think is an important trait

If it helps, I've been in my current job 3 1/2 years (and hate it), earn about 43k per year, I pay $900 monthly rent now and don't think I can afford to pay more than that without other source of income, also loan would be only myself and my credit is in the 690's.My priority now is quitting my 9-5 job, but this end of lease is making me question what is the right next step for me.Any advise, comments and guidance is greatly appreciated!!

If you do and have the capital to do afford it I do not see why you shouldn't start with fix and flips.

However, all calculators seem to indicate that with my income of 85k, home mortgage of 1200 and car payment of 418 mean I can only afford 150k for a property.

For example, I'll look at and do deals anywhere in RI, especially as I have some business partners in south county, but for my buy-and-holds I personally stick to northern RI in the vicinity of Providence/Cranston/Warwick just because it's closer to me.Also if you haven't visited a local investing group in our area such as RIREIG (rireig.com) or Black Diamond REI (blackdiamondrei.com) I'd recommend that too as it's a nice complement to Bigger Pockets, meeting people face to face, hearing about the latest news in our markets, etc.And check out the BP podcasts too, they're always entertaining and informative :)

The fastest way to repair credit is to use what's called Bank Round  RobinLet's say you got terrible credit you been bankrupt before and you want to repair your creditAs long as you have a good income and you can afford to do this step number one is to get $1000 together and bring it to let's say a big bank like Bank of AmericaGo see a consumer bank manager and tell them I ran into some serious trouble in a rebuilding my credit history I have $1000 that I like to put into a CD and borrow against for thousand dollars and pay it back as a consumer loan being reported to the credit bureauThe bank manager should have no problem using those security and they give you an approval usually quickly and they give you $1000.
