Yes, In case you were wondering, I have begun attending local REIA meetings and hanging around BiggerPockets recently.

Outside of real estate I volunteer as a youth mentor and have been working with a great youth mentoring organization in Newark for the last 4 years.

At one time I recall a specific form for organizing a one-person LLC, but I don't see that form any more.

At that point if you lied in the first place, the judge will be gunning for you too.The type of business you have has nothing to do with writing off expenses, unless you want to have a C corporation and be tax twice....You can have a strategy of saying making capital improvements to your properties, spend money to put a nicer roof on, landscape that MH park, repave the road, etc. this will reduce you income.

It amazes me that in "The land of the free" some organizations (Which are not defined as government) can tell people who own their own property, how to landscape, what looks good and what doesn't.

An investor that sets up a business will have more tax deductions as well and how that business is organized can make a difference.You also might want to check out the chamber of commerce or other networking groups.
