Are you looking in any specific cities or near specific campuses? 

I live in Louisville Kentucky, have been here all my life (with the exception of a brief stint in Dallas), and have lived all over the city. 

@Tyler Lee You might consider using the MBTA commuter rail, which should work well for much of downtown Boston.Go to https://mbta.com/trip-planner Enter your start and end locations and it will give you options for public transit.If that works for you, you can start looking further outside the city where prices are much more affordable.

I understand it differs from city to city.

Although struggling in this area of the city to retain respectable and renters that pay on time or pay at all.

Open your search up to other counties and cities but be careful as you go far North and West as those markets are very different than Montville in terms of customer preference and the properties themselves (some have cesspool/septic)

In Baltimore city SFHs will generally get a better ROI than Multi Family right now.

I work in the city and I see that most of the meetups start at 6pm on weekdays, which is a little harder for me to get to.

I currently live in New York City but may be moving to Utah in the next few years.
