There are many hosts who do require their cleaners to photograph and/or video the entire place before they clean if there's a problem, and after they clean to prove they did a good job on the cleaning so the guest doesn't claim it was dirty when they arrived.

He is an army veteran with a pension so no risk of job loss but I have no idea what is going on in his personal life.

Us veterans don't have that if we used the VA loan.Hope all of that makes sense.
