Is there any way they can get counselling and try to work it out to save their marriage? 

(BTW, it has been proven that marriage is the #1 cause of divorce.) ;-)So, what to do?  

I work full time and have been married for nearly 5 years (and who says marriages don't last).I have only recently seriously began taking in all the information I can and scratching out a plan for my future.I am interested in mostly rentals (preferably multi-family), though I suppose as I learn more that can fluctuate.My general plan is to finish saving my down payment for a personal home (my wife isn't on board with house hacking... yet), and then begin doing the same for rentals.

Either find another way to be involved in real estate, move on to a more opportune time or just let it go.No amount of money is worth destroying a marriage. 

Likely you are OK with missing out on the stuff in London.When a person says yes to marriage, they are effectively saying no to 3.5 billion other possibilities.

Best of luck to you in your investments, I leave you with some similar advice: the next time your wife frustrates you, you consider leaving her since your probably not cut out for marriage. 

Your marriage is more important than winning the argument.

Even if his name never went on the loan the marriage makes it co-owned, so to say.

Marriage rates and birth rates going down, means less people are settling down.
