@Leo Gomez you should have a solid foundation first, then start investing and continue to shore up your foundation.It doesn't mean you need a huge nest egg, a 401k, or anything spectacular.

The mix of an old (4) fuse panel with an old breaker panel and A LOT of outlets, many doubled up into 4's, plus home handyman looking issues on the fuse panel (missing screws, exposed wiring), to me would mean having an expert look at the wiring in the house and if needed making a bid to repair it.That rats nest of exposed wired next to this fuse box might be live electrical current, it's probably best not to touch it.Good Luck!
