Agreed with Rob...they cover their license fee (no reason you should be paying for their cost of doing business), but asking a reasonable fee for pulling the permit isn't uncommon.As to the fee for pulling the permit, it would depend on the complexity of the job and the amount of time likely to spend with the building department getting the permit.

TSAHC's down payment assistance programs can be great options to assist qualified homebuyers get into a home that they might otherwise not have the available funds/reserves for.There are also a few other down payment assistance programs here in Texas as well that are worth mentioning:- TDHCA (Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs) offers the Texas Homebuyers Program with a couple down payment assistance programs.

At $1 per mailing or I believe also a $1 for skip tracing to get a potential number to call plus your monthly fee, you can easily see how this becomes an issue in the ROI department (with no monthly fee and just above fees, would make it ideal).
