The greater number of properties you have the more you have to look for an umbrella policy that will provide some insurance coverage.

(I'm not a lawyer)But I think, if you want to do get better asset protection, you'd need both properly setup LLC and also get an umbrella liability policy.For what it's worth, I set up my LLC for $50 to get my articles of incorporation, I have a simple operating agreement that I got from the internet and I set up a different bank account.

I want to have the property held under the LLC for liability protection but I may have to go with an umbrella insurance policy instead.

My issue is I want a $1M Liability/Umbrella insurance policy.

All expenses are paid by the plan and all income produced accrues tax-sheltered under the umbrella of the plan.

I did talk to a lawyer a while back about protecting yourself with your rental properties and he suggested I could do a lot of that with an umbrella policy versus putting them into an LLC.
