I do it mostly because the veteran real estate investors here know you never find anything but human feces and decades-old porn behind water heaters, and I think it's a great private joke for all of us about how weird this business is, especially seeing how the newbies react, all offended that anyone could possibly be dishonest here in the forums about finding rubberbanded and cellophane-wrapped stacks of used twenties in a hundred-year-old defunct crapshack in Yinzerburgh, of all places.And every year, right on the button, I get a bunch of people who insist they know exactly how I should invest my found money.

Does anyone have nay suggestions when it comes down to screening besides the basics.I know some people like to visit potential clients homes to see if they are clean and orderly, but that can be a bit challenging when we are out of state.

People call them mid term rentals, but they are a long term rental with a short stay lease.You will do all the furnishings etc that you would do a STR but people stay longer.

Last year code enforcement showed up and was "just checking on things" since they had prior history with this house & the people on the property.

Not local to the Cincinnati area, but I've done a good amount of work for people there!

I have done some research but curious about the experience people here have had. 1.

You will not get a lot of responses on here for several reasons - too many questions, not a big enough pool of people to answer the questions, and most agents have no clue about what it takes to work with investors. 

Just because other people do it or have done it doesn't mean it the right path for you.

This is the least likely thing for people to publish on BP, as finding them is key to the business and promoting them on here will inundate them with calls.
