What should I be looking for when I'm browsing sites such as Realtor.com?

Have them syndicate to their affiliate sites.

Plenty of good contractors aren't going to HD to get their stuff, they'll get it delivered to the job site.

Or do you have a list such as "I want Vancouver first, in 6 months I will get San Diego, etc"On the Airbnb side, as a host myself, if you are not planning on managing it yourself, when you acquire the property look for "Superhosts" in the area that can co-host for you.
