We rent to a decent number of younger, single women and I always recommend to them when they bring this up that they either consider not doing it, or maintaining the financial lease in their name only with the boyfriend as a resident at the pleasure of the authorized tenant - this way, when the inevitable domestic police call occurs, she has a greater chance of not being put out of her own home by demonstrating that he's only there at her pleasure and that she's the responsible party on the lease.

Many flood zones don't flood and during a major weather event, plenty areas flood that are not even close to a flood zone so it would depend on how desperate and the numbers and flood history.

However, they stated that IF they were to do this, then we would be responsible for moving all the furniture out of the unit to accommodate this, and that we would also be responsible for any damages that occurs to the new flooring from date of installation to our final move-out date, "whenever that would be" (which we know is tentatively 09/23).Upon doing my research on vinyl plank, I learned that it is easy to damage it, if we were to accidentally drop something on it and that - more worryingly - damage usually happens when furniture is being moved.
