To me this is a lot like the State of Connecticut passing an assault rifle and high capacity magazine registry. 

Ours collects our rent each month and deposits it into our bank account; it broadcasts our properties for rent; it sets up a web page for each property for marketing purposes; it collects applications from prospective tenants; it tracks income and expenses; applies late fees, sends out leases, has a tenant facing web portal for tenants to pay their rent and report maintenance issues, etc, etc.  

Given the web based solutions there's no need to.  

Agents can do amazing without it but for new agents I think you really have to be on there and accessibly to some point, just like agents 20 years ago were advertising in news papers magazines billboards etc.  

Recontrust publishes the bid price on their web site prior to auction.

I'm interested in developing web/tech/app solutions to make life in the REI industry easier.

I could be wrong but  read in a title company association magazine from 1986.

The web based QuickBooks is my recommendation.
