About me:I live/own in a duplex in the Bay Area of California in which I have been fortunate to see huge appreciation.

I was fortunate to find it a few months ago around the time they dropped the price by 70k.

All joking aside you are very fortunate to be in relationship with someone who is on board and supportive and really it makes a big difference.  

I am in a very fortunate position right now where I am not rushed to sell, or really need to sell. 

Luckily, I'm fortunate that my W2 job is providing an excellent base of experience for personal investing, which I plan to start doing remotely in my home state of Vermont, while still pursuing my career here in NYC.  

I have been fortunate enough to profit from all of the personal real estate transitions I have done.

If the house has been good for 5 years and no repairs, you would be fortunate to have that scenario happen.

We then followed through, brought them up, and now 6 years later, we are very fortunate to have units that are near the top of the "desirability list" for our area.
