@Abi O.Most mortgage companies will count the rental income towards your DTI calculation.However, they will only count like 70% of the gross rental income towards the DTI calculation(atleast the ones I worked with - I am not sure if 70% is a firm rule or an industry-wide rule).Furthermore - to get the rental income to count towards your DTI; you have to have tenants in place with a lease agreement that is not expired.
