Question about LLC Formation?

Hello All, I am Carlos Miranda of Brooklyn, NY and I am going to begin buy and hold investing in Baltimore City and County. I want to form a LLC to purchase my properties with, and create a website and begin marketing. So my question is, I am trying to create a LLC and they are asking me for an official address and it has to be in the state of Maryland. I currently reside in Brooklyn and don't have a residence yet in the state of Maryland. They are saying that I can't use a P.O Box, as well. Does anyone have any suggestions or alternative way I can create the LLC since I currently have my official address in Brooklyn? Is there anyway I can rent or access a mailbox? Thank you in advance and have a great rest of your day. Best Regards, Carlos Miranda

You can get away with a UPS store or similar with a box there. There is always someone there during the day to sign for certified mail. They can forward your mail to NY. There are also services that will serve as your resident agent. Some attorneys will act as your resident agent if they create the LLC for you.

If you open an LLC in NY you have to register it in MD. In that case I think you may only need a resident agent in MD. If you open in MD you need both a company address and a resident agent but they can be the same.
