Technically illegal, but they aren't going to file criminal charges or anything, however City Code Compliance and Zoning can issue violations, which can result in fines, hearings, and ultimately court dates and even condemnation.

I've seen it work in the favor of the criminal too many times.Too many of the victims just had to settle because it wasn't worth the legal costs.I would say the most important thing about Partners is to make sure you are dealing with HONEST and ETHICAL partners.Screen your partners at least as much as the bank does for a Mortgage!

-Tell them what your requirements are upfront (3x rent, credit/criminal check, landlord reference, paystubs)-Tell the tenants "Please text me an hour before to confirm you're coming"-If a tenant does not text me (rejection)-If a tenant shows up late without giving me a heads up (rejection).I spend 60 minutes a week showing a place.
