To get to the “trust” point, you (or your partner) must have a proven track record in some sort of investing that can be shared with your potential investors or that some of these investors have already experienced with you and hence know why they can trust you!

Unless you are experienced in both buying real estate and in negotiating your way through difficult deals, I don't recommend going in unrepresented. 

We agreed to use his funds while I use my team (already local) to manage the rehabs and the re-selling of the properties we purchase..If you're experienced in this area, please give me some solid advice on how to go about this, I want to move now!!

I am so incredibly proud of this property and even through some of the "hardships" i experienced throughout this process i could not be happier with the lessons learned and all of the value gained.This is a real life example with real numbers.

I plan on attending a REI event next week and networking with experienced investors who have had experience/success “house hacking” or investing in multi family homes.

It's always a lively group with a mix of experienced and new investors.

I do think though that maybe the better option would be to do a JV with an experienced investor that way you can learn from then during the process.

Or would it be best to partner up w/ an experienced investor?
