I'm not a fan of doing anything 'sight unseen,' and this is an excellent example of that.You can find plenty of success stories about doing things this way, but what you almost never hear about, are the failures.

All depends on what your goals are.The pros are more income, less debt/risk.Cons are, you'll have to receive that increase in income longer to recoup the principle you paid down.

Of course it reduces the debt service at the beginning, but you still have to pay the principle at some point.
