Real estate investor newbie

Hello everyone. My name is Enrique Ortega in Phoenix AZ. I am very excited that there is a website such as BP that will allow me to network with amazing people such as yourselves. Since I was a kid I have very interested in investing in real estate. At first house flipping intrigued me the most, and in the last couple weeks since I found this wonderful sight I have been going through the discussions and making my way through some of the books that I have found to be great reads from this site. Since I started though now I'm going that there are a lot more options out there, and now I'm currently interested in multifamily homes. Never the less what I'm trying to ask is some guidance on what's a good place to start.
