I may be inclined to wait to actually file the suit for unlawful detainer until after the 27th now that you are so close, but I would definitely serve the 3-day Notice to Pay or Vacate in the meantime.

This could be an eviction or in MD the process is called "Wrongful Detainer" That is essentially an eviction for someone who has no right to be there.Contact a good landlord tenant attorney or even a pro bono legal group that helps tenants.
