Unique eviction situation

I recently bought a house at foreclosure auction and there is still a living room suite and bed room suite.  There is also an abandoned car(looks like it is worth scrap value)  The air conditioning unit has been stole so it looks like no one has been in the house for a while.  What makes the situation unique is that the guy is in jail.  I am talking with a lawyer this week but has anyone had to deal with this before and what I can do to get rid of this guys stuff?  This is in Georgia.

I agree with the advice you've been given. If the occupant is in jail it could be argued that he had no way of removing the possessions & might not have received notice of you taking possession of the property. Any chance of finding out if he has a lawyer that might be in contact with him? You should be able to find out where he's incarcerated & how to send him a notice. The lawyer you consult can help with that. Be careful. You don't want to end up on the wrong side of Judge Judy down the road!
