Everything cost $1000 even the air conditioner compressor--which I replaced as well.

I had received 1 yr of 'free' insurance through the purchase of the home and the insurance company contracted out a company to do the estimate, who said it needed a new compressor, but he never submitted his actual bid back to the insurance company. 

We have replaced air compressors, which cost between $1,700 to about $3,000.

Depending on how much baking the tenant does that could put some stress on the fridges compressor.

Also, that figure would be for the compressor and fan combined, need to estimate a "duty" cycle for the compressor which utilizes most of the wattage, but only when it is operating.

I bet I could get one of those off pretty quick.Do they steal stationary compressors too?

Not an emergency and it's probably a bad compressor that has burnt up due to dirty coils, likely clogged with dog hair. 

Last Summer, it is was a dead compressor on an AC unit and a main breaker failure. 

I had a tenant install line directly from the breaker to his HUGE new air compressor.
