The house we live in right now fell out of escrow the Tues before Thanksgiving, we almost did a showing on Thanksgiving but got in on the Friday after thanksgiving, we had an offer in over the weekend and had the house under contract within the week.What we find is during the holidays, sellers are motivated, and buyers are usually less active. 

And who wants to move at the holiday season? 

For most of our small drywall and plywood hauls from the big orange retail giant and its big blue competitor, the rack on top of the SUV and the moving blanket+ratcheting load straps that we keep in the spare-tire compartment do just fine.Our vehicle of choice, and I remember the old days fondly, used to be a Honda Odyssey with 200,000 miles on it.

If you dig up all the dirt, you will have a giant leaky sieve/strainer and you'll have to basically start over again.  

I had years of no job and giant negative tax returns.

It takes a GIANT hit any time there is a downturn.

Better tennats will start looking after the holidays.

This time of year is generally a little harder to get properties rented out because of the upcoming holidays and changing weather.
