Have you ever UN-filled in an in-ground pool?
I'm working with a client who is looking for a home with an in-ground pool. We have a good potential candidate, but the pool has been filled in.
Has anybody ever reversed that process? Anything special to look out for aside of the obvious damage to the lining / walls, plumbing?

I don't think you can. My understanding is that they break up (or drill?) a lot of the bottom and sides of the pool so that water will drain into the soil. If you dig up all the dirt, you will have a giant leaky sieve/strainer and you'll have to basically start over again.
