I would suggest you join a brokerage who would offer the exact thing of what you are looking for.  

Find and join your local Real Estate Investor Association (REIA) make friends with fellow Austin investors who have been doing this for a long time and find a mentor.

You can also look at joining virtual networking groups in the areas you want to invest.

In full disclosure I am not looking to join one, I simply want to hear from those that have.If you have currently invested in a group such as this, what was the value you saw in the program and what was the determining factor that made you decide it was worth the investment?

I want to see what I can do to get started.BRRRR also seems very interesting and powerful although rehabbing a house seems a bit intimidating at this point in time, especially when I am working my 9 to 5 during the workweek.To reach my goals, I will continue learning about REI through the podcasts, the weekly webinars, real estate books, and joining Houston real estate meetups, either in person or online, to network with local investors, share ideas, and see what they are doing to have success in REI in Houston.These are my initial thoughts and goals.

If you join the local Greater Cincinnati Real Estate Investors group (about $25 a month) they share recommended contractors that work with investors vs retail homeowners.
