Athens is a great town and practically a suburb of the 4th fastest growing metro in the country.  

This is an accountability issue within the government program and how it is executed as a free hand-out instead of a helping hand.I agree with you that legislation is not necessarily going to solve the problem, although I do believe that we should all be doing our part to help our neighbor succeed in this country.

Though many people follow that path out of necessity - as a way to build capital on the front end.If you already have a full time job, flipping can be extremely tough. 

Unless its a fixer upper understand you can do alright in those neighborhoods if you follow a specific path.

Prior to that I was in the mortgage industry for about 6 years where I did everything from basic branch admin stuff, compliance and QC, processing, and eventually was a licensed loan officer before I decided to change paths to public safety.

So, I believe, though I've got the typical newbie "frame of mind" currently, me choosing the real estate path is at least a great start in the right direction.MentorThis is why I've kinda turned to BP and another reason why I chose the transparent route.

They want to explore the country, sample the delicious food and explore all the great beaches the country has to offer so they need to be at a better location for that.

Personally, I started with general REI investing books which led to the following paths: rental property ownership, landlording, types of RE financing, understanding micro/macro economics, understanding currency etc.  

Living in NYC mine as well be like living in another country.
