Hello everyone,

My name is Spencer. I currently live in Angels Camp, CA but grew up down in the Central Valley. I work full-time on the ambulance up here and part-time at the city fire department. I've been in fire/EMS for about 5 years now. Prior to that I was in the mortgage industry for about 6 years where I did everything from basic branch admin stuff, compliance and QC, processing, and eventually was a licensed loan officer before I decided to change paths to public safety. However, I've been around the real estate and mortgage industries my entire life. My dad has been doing one or the other since before I was born and loves reminding me about how he used to take me to work with him while I was still in a bassinet.

I'm here to learn as much as I can about everything I can and hopefully make some lasting relationships along the way. I'm at the point where I know enough to know that I don't know anything, so I'm trying to absorb as much information as possible. Ultimately my goal, as I'm sure is the majority here, is to have enough rental properties to not have to "work" anymore and live off that income. So, I am mainly interested in long-term holds on SFR's and multi's but I am trying to learn about flipping and wholesaling as well because I didn't choose my current career field for what it pays, and making some money on the side would be nice. I'm also toying with the idea of getting my RE license and going that route as well.
